Marlin Ballard info needed

Got a Marlin Ballard believe it's a 38-55. Only stamping I can find is Marlin firearms Ballard pat Nov 1861.

There were several different models of the Ballard chambered in .38-55 caliber. We need a good description or photos in order to tell you which model of Ballard you have.

There are also different .38 CF calibers found in Ballard rifles. So you'll need to do a chamber cast with Cerrosafe to ensure it truly is the .32-40 Ballard caliber.
