32.cal colt long ammo?

Post by Terry B »

For those of you that own a ballard/marlin #2 sporting rifle. Do you have a outlet for getting your long 32. colt ammo, or do you handload yourself :?: Thanks

You might check Old West Scrounger on the web. I believe he carries repro ammo for the .32 Colt. Most people reload for it, if they have these old Ballards or Marlin 1891 and 1892's in the caliber.
I cast my bullets from an old Ideal tool, marked for the .32 Ballard. I have scrounged up a lot of old ammo, brass, and even have 4 boxes of new Remington brass to reload from.
Dies are available from RCBS, Lyman, and C&H-4D, from Buffalo Arms. You need to use the correct heeled bullet when reloading for the .32 Colt, and that will have to be from an old mold, or one of the custom mold makers like NEI.
Hope this helps!
