Ballard owners.

Post by marlinman93 »

I'd like to start this topic again, since it din't survive the updates.
Do we have any Ballard owners/collectors here?
I will raise my hand to start things off. My small collection of Ballards includes #2 Hunter in .32 Ballard XL with DST, #3 Gallery in .22 LR with shotgun butt, and French proofmarks, #4 Perfection in .45-70 with 34" half octagon barrel and early Brown style lever and buttplate, #5 Pacific in .45-70 with midrange vernier and Lyman Combo front sight, and a Schoyen Schuetzen rifle in full Schuetzen configuration, caliber .38-55.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!

Ok, let's see if we can get some interest in Ballards going here. This is a #2 in 32 Long that can use either rimfire or centerfire cartridges. Gallery tang sight.

You might want to resize the photos you have posted to this topic. Try to keep them no more than 640 wide. That helps those who have smaller screens and lower resolutions to be able to see the images. Just a suggestions.

Thanks! Yes, my poor little screen needs to scroll back and forth just to read and see them!

Adding to what the "Boss" said, I find that if one uses a rule of thumb to size 500 wide, a picture is always easy to handle here or on any other forum allowing images.

Also, if you wnat to display some SxS, a good rule of thumb is no larger than 300 wide.

Just my li'l ole 2¢ worth for the day. :) :) :)
