1894 Frankonia Edition
Im looking for information and the value of an 1894 Frankonia edition Prototype with the engineering papers. The box has no label just a handwritten serial number as its a prototype. It has gold inlay and the butt plate is gold and the fore end ring is gold. I own a regular Frankonia edition and couldnt figure out why they were so different then I found out the one is the prototype. It has the engineering papers with it signed by Marlin. It lists numerous names at the company on the work order to build the firearm. It tells that there will be 500 made for Germany. The 2 editions I have are like night and day. Can anyone help me out what a starting price on something like this would be. It is mint and unfired. All the specs for the design are on the paperwork and have stamps from the engineering department. If I can figure it out id like to post the 2 I have and you can see the differences. Thanks
