I've had a fairly rusty 1893 action and 38-55 octagon barrel with serial number 91251 lying around forever that i am finally trying to fix. Was going to order the wood stocks for it today but am away from home and cannot measure tang length. 3-3/4 or 3-1/8 does anyone know?
I have cleaned the rust off and sanded as far as i am going t, meaning there are pock marks but thats ok.
If anyone lives near bremerton, washington and knows someone that does bluing please tell me.
