Date of manufacture for my 1893

Post by tennesseetom »

I recently purchased a model 1893 with serial number A3479. I have been trying to determine the date of manufacture, but everything I come up with seems to be before or after this range. Thanks in advance!

Tennessetom;

The "A" prefix indicates that your Marlin Model 1893 was made in the 1916/1917 time frame.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

Thanks, Gunrunner! I just picked this up at auction, and it has some unusual features, so I’m sure I’ll be back with a few more questions when I have it in hand.
