1894CB Cowboy Limited .357 color case hardened?
Hello all! I recently came to acquire a model 1894CB Cowboy Limited in .357. Has the 20" octagonal barrel. The serial # starts with "99". Also, it has "Marlin Safety" stamped on the top of the receiver. My question is, did marlin color case harden some of these at the factory? Or was this an aftermarket job? Also, any idea on the value of this? Not that I'm looking to sell it as it's a beautiful gun. Just more wondering as I can't seem to find reference to one similar online. Thank you all for any help or insights you're able to provide!
