Help on 1895

Post by the gunsmith »

Got a 45-90 1895 in need of a magazine tube assembly. Anybody have the correct OD measurement for the tube, or a source for original parts?

The Gunsmith;

A .45-90 tube and a .45-70 tube will be the same diameter. Numrich has magazine tubes for 1895 Marlin rifles, but they are probably the new Model 1895, and therefore shorter than what you want. You could get two and weld them together to get the length you need. Just make sure to hide the welded section under the forearm.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

As I mentioned on the other forum. Randy Redman (Redman's liners" sells tubes for all sorts of lever guns. His tubes for the .45-70 are std. 26" length, but he will custom cut them if you want longer.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
