Antique?

Post by Len H »

I have a question about the legal sale of a original Marlin 1894 38 40 made in 1900. Is this a gun that needs to transfer through a FFL or can I just do a face to face sale? ------ Thanx much, lookin forward to any reply

Len H;

An antique is a firearm made in 1898 or before. Guns 50 years or older are considered Curios & Relics. If you are buying this from a dealer, he will transfer it via his FFL. If you are buying from an individual, face to face, then no paperwork is necessary, unless the state you reside, or where the deal is being made requires it.
If you were purchasing it through the internet from another state, then it would need to be shipped to your FFL and paperwork filled out there when you pick it up.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
