Ammo

Post by Ggreen1 »

Have a model 97 from 1906. Bought some 22 short to try it out whenever I get it finished. Has a nice octagon barrel. Wondering if I'm ok to run 22lr, or should I stick with shorts? Overall, it's in good shape. Just don't want to break it after I get done fixing it.

As long as your .22LR is standard velocity or target velocity, it will be fine. None of the hotter stuff though!
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
