Twist of .38-55 in 1893

Post by Brent »

Can someone confirm the twist rate on the 1893 Marlin in .38-55 caliber? I am curious if it was slower than 18".

Thanks,
Brent

Brent;

According to Brophy's book on Marlin Firearms, the rate of twist for the .38-55 cartridge was 1 turn in 20 inches.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

Thanks. I was wondering if it was in the 20s. That's a pretty slow indeed.
