Oldcaddad;

The Marlin Model '93 is the later version of the Model 1893. The Model '93 came along in 1921 and was made to 1936.
Does your Model '93 have the trademark Marlin Bullseye in the toe of the stock? Is the barrel marked Marlin Firearms Company or Marlin Firearms Corporation?
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Oldcaddad;

From your description, it would appear that your Marlin Model '93 would have been made sometime between 1921 and 1924. Hard to say exactly, but maybe around 1922 or early 1923.
There are no records for this era in the Marlin Company, so we can only estimate these things.
