Wiskybill;
Your Marlin Model 39-A Golden with the "T" serial number prefix was made in 1960. That was the year of Marlin's 90th Anniversary. Marlin made up special guns to celebrate that anniversary by chrome plating matched sets of the 39-A and 39-M. These sets were limited to only 500 guns and are collectors items today.
If your gun was marked 39-A DL, it to would be a collectors item with the stock carving and checkered wood and sling swivels.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
