I have a Marlin Model 36 that was my fathers the he always used. I believe it to be a 1946 Model 36 A DL in pretty darn good condition. He took many Whitetails with it in the UP of Michigan before he died in 1992. Gun has been taken care of but not used since he died.
serial number is c 15173
Was interested in what the value may be. Can post pictures if someone would tell me how to do this?

No one likes to make comments regarding value with seeing the item in question. Condition is the dictating factor in determining the value of any firearm, and without knowing the condition of the original factory finish on the wood and metal, there is no way to give an estimation of value.
