336 - Can you tell me anything about it?

Hi
Just purchased a second hand rifle
Micro Groove barrel Mod 336 30-30win
Serial Number 23066942
Can anyone tell me anything about it (year made etc).

There are some cracks in stock is it possible to buy new stock for these?.

23 = 1977. Yep, replacement stocks are available from the factory or http://www.e-gunparts.com or http://www.brownells.com just to name 3 places. SW
