New member looking to identify father's 22

Post by skibum69 »

Hello folks. I have inherited my father's old 22. Looking at it we can not find any numbers or markings anywhere on the barrel etc. I need a new extractor pin but I need to know what it is first. Here are a few pics.

Skium69;

From what I see, you have a Marlin Model 80C, same as pictured at the bottom of page 333 of the Brophy Marlin book. Your rifle was probably made prior to 1957 as I do not see the scope dove tail slots on the receiver as described in a 1957 Marlin catalog.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

Great, thanks for the reply. Very likely is is pre 1957.
