Marlin Limited Edition Model 6079
I own a Marlin Limited Edition Model 6079 with TK017996 on the left front side of receiver. I have looked at several sites trying to determine the manufacturing date of this rifle and none of the date codes I have seen went up to the letter "T. It has a gold trigger, a round gold emblem with "American Hunting Tradition" with a picture of a man with a rifle in it and squirrel carvings on both sides of the stock. Any help would be appreciated in determining the manufacturing date and where it was made.

Jetski;
Your Marlin rifle was made for the Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company ( OTASCO ) in 1979. The emblem on the stock is to commemorate the "American Hunting Tradition". Each year, OTASCO made a different commemorative rifle from 1978 to 1987. There was also a Marlin Model 30A made the same year with the same commemorative stock emblem.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
