Maralin 39a 1953 Rifling style?

Post by Snake Pleskin »

I am looking at a 1953 (K prefix) marlin 39a. What type of rifling does this have. Also, when did Marlin start tapping the top of the receiver for scope mounts. This one is not tapped.

Snake Pleskin;

The answer to your rifling question is answered in your other post.........Marlin started drilling and tapping the top of the receivers of the Model 39-A in 1956.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
