General Price of a 1894 M .22mag.

I have a friend that wants my 1894 M in .22 mag. I don't remember what I paid for it. Please don't tell me the auction site and completed sales.
Because I have went on 3 auction sites and zip. Even just the search and buy on GB I found 2 of them with prices like $1300. has anybody had any recent experience with this Marlin. I mean GB has something like 10,000 rifles and there are only a few listed. Hard to believe. I know that is a semi-rare Marlin but it looks like everybody is keeping them!
