Model 39 with 4 digit serial no letter prefix
I have a Model 39 lever with a 4 digit serial number , no letter prefix on the serial . I have had this 50 some years . Back in the seventies i shot some kind of 22 ammo through it and broke the bolt ..Ive searched online and can not find one . Does anyone have any ideas ? also can a 39a bolt be fitted or work in it ? any help will be greatly appreciated . my e mail is donb2082@aol.com or post on here and i will see it . Great group by the way.

Not sure where to find a new bolt, but an early 39a bolt can be easily fitted. I'd check Ebay and Gunbroker to see about finding a good used bolt.
