Question about a m99m1

Hi everyone, im new here. I have a 65 model m1 it still looks good shoots great, but ive never seen another one like it. It has a chrome barrel and the reciever is plain aluminum, i polished it, it also has a black trigger guard with a gold trigger. I got bord a couple weeks ago and polished the guard also. I got it in the late 70s or very early 80s as a kid, it was my first gun besides a BB gun. I asked on another board if they had a special run for the chrome, and everyone said no. Thought i might ask here if anyone herd of one or seen one before. Thanks for any help.
