1958 Model 39A Mountie

I bought a 1958 Model 39a Golden Mountie recently to replace the Model 39 I inherited from my father when I passed it on to my nephew. I want to get some advise on the best way to care for it. This gun was taken care of but used. The gold on the trigger has worn off of some parts of the trigger and the inside of the lever has some sight discoloration. The blueing has worn on the lower tang, and the sides of the hammer. I want to use this gun to teach my kids to shoot and general plinking. Also, how much would this gun be worth in it’s current condition?
