Have inherited a (.22LR) rifle..what is it worth?

Post by TexasDave »

Hey guys..I am new here. Hello. I have inherited a (.22LR) rifle. It says Limited Edition Model 6080 Marlin Firearms, North Haven, Ct. The SN# is RT005016. Anyone know when this was manufactured and what it is worth now? Thank you for your time and knowledge.

TexasDave;

The rifle you have was made for the Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company (OTASCO) in 1980. It is one of several commemoratives Marlin made for the company. This rifle commemorates the Trail Rider, hence the RT serial number prefix. This gun, a Model 6080 is a Marlin, Glenfield Model 60 (60 for model and 80 for year of manufacture).
The Glenfield models do not have quite the same value as the regular Marlin Model 60, even though this is a commemorative version. Most Model 60's are in the $100.00 to $150.00 range, depending upon the condition.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

Anyone have a Barrel band with integral sling mount they would sell for Glenfield Marlin 75 .22 rifle? Have searched the parts sites and internet for several weeks with no luck. Thanks
