smokeless greased 22
is it common for my old marlin to be double stamped one over the other about 2 mm off on the barrel?

That would not be real common,is it an A1 or A1DL?

A double stamped rollstamp is never common on any gun. But it also rarely adds any value to the gun. It's curious, but not so much as to add anything to the value.
