Marlin Royal Canadian 22 semi model 99

Post by lilbrunette »

Hello everyone, I have recently acquired this gun and I know nothing about it or the value etc. I was told it was very special by the older gentleman who gave it to me. I tried google, however the information was not specific to my model. I then found your site, so I've registered and here I am asking for any help you can give me, with regards to it. I am a hunter and have my preferred guns, this one is a mystery to me. Thank you for your time.

Lilbrunette;

In 1961, Marlin introduced a line of guns to promote to the Canadian market. The program only lasted from 1961 to 1962. There were 9 different guns in the program. Your gun, a Model 99 C was a semi-automatic, .22 caliber rifle like the Marlin Model 99 C but with higher grade wood, sling swivels and slings. In 1961, Marlin made 126 of the RC Model 99 C's, and in 1962, they made 154 of the RC Model 99 C's for a total of 280 guns before the program went away. The guns were mainly sold to Canadian distributors, but some were sold in the U.S.
I hope this helps.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
