Marlin Model 47

Hi, I recently acquired a Marlin Model 47 pump .22, and I am trying to get it back into working condition. Got most of the little bugs out of it with a thorough cleaning and lube, but one issue persists. When moving the pump to chamber a round the round keeps getting lodged inside the receiver. After twisting the gun in either direction to get the bullet to move slightly it will fully chamber and then fire, but this happens every time I attempt to load another round. I do not know what is causing this issue so any help would be great. Any other information needed about the gun let me know. Thanks in advance!
