Marlin 39a D Prefix Date of Manufacture

Hi, I am new to this forum and have a question on a 39a with D Prefix and 4 digit SN (i dont recall the full SN, only that it was four digits long)

Anyway,

Can someone point out the date of manufacture? Also, was the top strap of the receiver 2-hole drilled and tapped from the factory on this era 39a? This gun has the receiver drilled and tapped on the top, has receiver (peep) sight D&T holes, as well as side mount scope D&T holes.

Overall it is a very clean specimen and I would like to purchase it for a shooter. The price is $350.00 OTD
