Can anyone help? When I slowly lever the gun, it ejects perfectly. But when I try quickly, the bolt pulls the shell out and lets go of it leaving it in the gun.Thanks in advance.

Tim;

I would look for two things. A dirty chamber (corrosion, rust, etc) and weak extractor springs. The Model 57 (M)'s have double extractors and the springs could be weak and or dirty and not allowing enough strength to pull the fired cartridge out of the chamber. Tim,
Maybe just a band-aid here but...
I had the same problem with my 57M. The problem seemed to disappear
when I switched from Federal to CCI ammunition.

Worth a try ?
