Hi,
I'm curious about this particular Marlin slide action 22. A few questions: Do they chamber multiple 22 ammo(short, long and LR, like the 1897)? What barrel lenght do they come in? and lastly, Are they take-down models ? Thanks in advance for any info.

Lew;
The Marlin Model 37, .22 caliber pump action rifle was identical to the Model 20 in that it is a takedown action too. The Model 37 was the Model 20, only made with a 24 inch round barrel and renamed the Model 37 when introduced by the Marlin Firearms Corporation. The Model 37 will handle the .22 short, long and long rifle like the Model 1897/'97 or any other Marlin lever action .22 for that matter. The standard sights for the Model 37 are the Ivory bead front sight and a flat top Rocky Mountain rear sight.
The is all the information you need on pages 459 and 460 of William S. Brophy's book, MARLIN FIREARMS, A History of the Guns and the Company that made them. I hope this helps.
