@ Mals9 ---

If this gem from tigweld's is still "up", it's good:

If you're still looking, I hope this helps.

How do you actually get into the breech bolt to replace a broken extractor?????
I have a new breech bolt handle (a1-6), and breech bolt handle plunger (a1-7) which needs replaced.
While looking at how to remove my broken extractor, as well as putting in the new handle and plunger, I must say I'm stumped. I need to remove it so I can get the new parts in. I just don't see how to remove my broken extractor. Would it lift out ???? If so it will be a bugger to get out, as it appears from firing the gun, it has sort of has a melted in appearance. Like the metal extractor fused into the breech bolt slot which accepts it.

Any clues how to remove the extractor ????

Replacing a broken extractor on the Marlin A1 bolt is not for for the faint of heart, but it can be done.
If you would like me to,I'll try and post the process of doing the job.

Tigweld,
Haven't check this post in several weeks, but yes I would appreciate you going through steps to replace the extractor.
Did manage to remove all parts in the bolt, but previous owner?????, must have jerry-rigged in an extractor of sorts. Used thin cut metal strip, and some sort of epoxy.
Seeing I had no orinal bolt handle, handle plunger, spring, extractor plunger(are 2 required??),ect, I am flying blind.
I did manage to locate parts--think I have what is needed. Just not sure the order, and how to go about the replacement of parts..
Any help would be great!!!!!

You'll only need one extractor plunger. Never figured out why Gun Parts Corp. says 2 required.... :/ Besides a description
of the process I will also try to post some photos too.
