Looks like i'm in the same situation you are in. Sounds like i have the same gun. Can't find out anything about it.

Your rifle was manufactured in 1979. These guns were manufactured between 1966 and 1982. In 1983, the Glenfield name was dropped and it became the Model 60 which is still in production today. The stock is a walnut stained hardwood (usually birch).
