Antique 1895 Marlin

Post by 45/704me »

New member here, but life long Marlin lover. I got the itch for an antique 1895 Marlin in shootable condition with black powder and cast lead ball. I know rarity and condition are price governing factors but I am wondering what they run on average. I found one that has had the barrel and magazine tube shortened, in 45/90, but the price seems high, any suggestions?

I have a few and in good shooting condition with little to no case color, $1300-1600, as condition goes up, the price goes up fast!! Any non-standard features and it goes up! For me, I stay away from cut downs, unless their cheap
