Model 1893 Vs Model 1894

Post by charles gilbert »

Ladies, Gentlemen, what were the differences in the early Model 1894 versus the Model 1893 rifles? Is the buttstock for each the same/interchangeable?

Many thanks, Charles Gilbert

The 1893 is a long cartridge rifle for 32-40, 38-55, 30-30, and so on. The 1894 is a pistol cartridge length rifle for 32-20, 38-40, 440, 44 mag, 45 Colt and so on.

The tang for 94/1894 tend to be shorter that the 1893/1936/36 models.

Hope this helps

The 1894 and 1893 stocks are the same. They do interchange. The forend of the 1894, 38 and 44 cal interchange with the 1893
