1889 serious trigger issues ...at the very least....

Hi All!
I have a 1889 Marlin in 38W. The trigger mechanism has issues: it is super floppy with 3/16" or more of fore and aft travel and maybe a 4oz hair trigger pull (if that). Hammer may or may not drop on its own simply by cycling lever. Other than crazy dangerous, does this problem ring a bell with anyone?? My goal is to make it a safe shooter and maybe replace all the marred screws -of which I will need help sourcing, please. So far, I have found a couple of screws, but not all at Numrich.
Also, I might need a replacement bolt, too? The bolt surface (viewed from right side of gun) looks very odd! I suspect it is some sort of repair.?? It has multi dings/hammer marks with some ?brazing? brassy color mixed in?!!? The rest of the receiver is mostly smooth. Were bolts known to blow out or separate or need welding/brazing????
BIG Thanks in advance!
Merry Christmas, All!
