Marlin 101

Post by krandolph »

My father passed down a Sears/JC Higgins model 41 10319770 but the breech bolt is missing. I would like to make it whole and pass it down to one of my grandsons. I understand that this gun was actually manufactured by Marlin and is equivalent to the Marlin 101. True? If so, are there parts available? Where would I go to find the parts?
Thanks,
KR

KR;

You are correct, that Sears/J.C. Higgins model is the Marlin Model 101. As for parts, one place to check for parts is eBay. A lot of hard to find parts show up there from time to time. You may have to check often, or register and get email updates for your search for the parts you are looking for. Be general in your parts description so as to not miss something when it does come up.
You might try Gun Broker, too. Lots of parts are listed there as well. Sometimes a GOOGLE search can turn up something, too.
Good luck..............
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
