Post by deadeye1 » Mon Apr 16, 2018 5:19 pm

I HAVE A MARLIN 1893 IN 32-40 FACTORY ENGRAVED ON RECEIVER.IT HAS A 27 1/2 INCH FULL OCTAGON BARREL.S.S#372228.
I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHEN IT WAS MADE AND WHAT IT MY BE WORTH.
THANK YOU

Likely in 1906-07 era. Better put a cleaning rod down the bore and get a better measurement of barrel length. Marlin never made a 27 1/2" barrel.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!

Deadeye1;

To determine value, we need to know a whole lot more about your rifle. What grade of engraving does it have, what other "extras" does it have. What is the overall condition of the original finish on the wood and metal.
Pictures of your rifle would be extremely helpful to answer the above questions.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
