39A

Post by Bluegill »

I just bought a 39a at Cabela's today. Can't find my serial number in the charts. Any help is appreciated. It reads B977, under the lever.
It's been refinished and re-blued some time ago. Can't judge the age by the finish. Thanks a million.

Bluegill;

The "B" prefix to your serial number is for 1940. Most likely, this would have been a 2nd variation of the Model 39-A in it's original state.
There are very few Marlins around with the "A" and "B" prefixes and that is why many sites do not know of the 1939 and 1940 letter prefixes.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
