I have a Marlin 1893, octagon barrel. It has been reblued and the caliber was rubbed off. Serial # is 201187. Can any body give me the caliber and any information on this Marlin? Thanks, Tom

Records show that 201187 as a Model 1893 in .38 caliber and a 26 inch octagon barrel. The .38 caliber is the .38-55 Ballard caliber cartridge.
