OLD MARLIN LEVER ACTION

Post by jdgarton »

MY FRIEND IS A WIDOW, and her husband passed last year. She has a Marlin, old rifle with a BALLARD PATENT NOV 5 1861...ANOTHER NUMBER ON IT IS EITHER 27013 OR 27010....I DO HAVE A PICTURE OF THE GUN, AND CAN SEND IT TO ANYBODY WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO TELL ME THE VALUE...SHE NEEDS IT ASSESSED AS PART OF THE TRUST FOR HIS ESTATE.

With the serial number range and patent date info, it sounds like a Marlin Ballard. It should have more information on the same side that info is stamped. I'll send you an email.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
