I have a Marlin rifle model 1892 octagon barrel lever action, can anyone tell me the caliber and a approx. value of it.

The Marlin Model 1892 was made in 2 calibers. The .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle and the .32 Colt Short, Long and Long Rifle cartridges. So your gun is one or the other.
As to value, that is dictated by the amount and condition of the remaining original factory finish on the wood and metal. Without knowing these conditions, it is not possible to give an estimation of value at this time.
