First off, Thank You, Brian for posting the pictures.
This is definitely a rebated Model 1881, and it is quite original with correct sights. An interesting note is that the earlier rebated Model 1881's were mostly .45 Government caliber while the later, rebated guns were .40-60 Marlin caliber.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
