Marlin Glenfield 30A

Post by Claytonjames95 »

I recently bought a Marlin 30-30 to add to my collection and I'm having some confusion as to when it was manufactured. The research I've done says that the first to number of the serial number is the year it was manufactured but the Glenfield was only produced from 1973-1983. So I was wondering when my gun was manufactured, the serial number is 21085489

Claytonjames95;

In this case, you subtract the first two digits from 100 to attain year of manufacture. That is: 100 - 21 = 79 or 1979.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.
