Marlin No. 32 Standard 1875 pocket rev, .32 RF ca

Post by chefbartrd »

I am currently buying a Marlin No. 32 Standard 1875 pocket rev, .32 RF ca. I'm looking for ammo and I was needing to know if it used short or long ammo. I don't have the pistol yet but wanted ammo here to fire when I get it. Would you happen to know the cylinder lengths? I know the long measures 1 3/16" in total length. The short is 7/8" overall. Any idea?
Thank you,
Bart

Bart;

You cannot use the long cartridge in the short cylinder, but you can use the short cartridge in the long cylinder. So, if you do not know the cylinder length, get the short cartridges and use them in either cylinder length.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Thank you. Do you know the length of the cylinder for the short or long? Or are they the same length. The picture I sent what did it look like. I'm sorry to trouble you. Thank you for all your help.
Sincerely,

Bart;

The long cylinder measures 1.180 inches (a little less than 1 1/4 inch ) in length whereas the short cylinder measures .900 in length, or just under 1 inch.
