Need Help Identifying Model
Hello I have a Marlin 336 with no letters next to the 336, Serial Number is 23152069. I am assuming it is a 1977 but not sure as to the model. it has a 20" barrel. Any help would be appreciated.

ReproMax;
Marlin offered two (2) guns with 20 inch barrels in 1977. There was the Model 336C (Carbine)and the 336T (Texan). The difference being the butt stock. The 336C had a pistol grip stock whereas the 336T had a straight grip stock.
At that time, Marlin used one roll die to mark the barrels as roll dies were expensive to make, and the barrels were interchangeable on the guns with 20 inch barrels, so they had just the one roll die that would not indicate the version. Plus, they would not have to change the roll die from one version to another if the barrels were all marked the same.
I hope this helps.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
