I bought a Marlin MR-7 280 CAL. rifle yesterday for 350.00 its new never been fired. I can't seem to find out a whole lot of information on this rifle and I feel like I made good buy, but can anyone tell more about it? Thanks

JAGER;

The MR-7 was made from 1996 to 1999. The .280 Remington caliber was added in 1998. The serial number will tell you when your gun was made. Subtract the first two digits from 100 to determine year of manufacture. The first two digits should be either 02 or 01.
Price guides show the MR-7, NIB around $450.00 to $500.00 depending on which price guide you look at, and if your gun has factory installed open sights.
