I found a Marlin Junior toy gun as described in Brophy's book. Does anyone know much about it? I've never seen another one.

How do I attach a picture?
Re: I found a WW2 Marlin toy gun!!
I have shown it to Larry Ruth, the author of the famous textbook on the M1 Carbine, and he has confirmed that is the only one that he knows of still in existence. It is called the Marlin Jr and was made from surplus M1 Carbine stocks that were left when WW2 ended in 1945. They were carbine stock blanks that were machined by Marlin into toy guns to use them up, and they were mentioned in the Brophy book as a "rare Marlin collectible". No one else seems to have seen one in person, and I know mine is real.

There are other Marlin toy guns around. They are quite scarce, and the reason no sees them as no one wants to sell theirs if they are lucky enough to have one. I have seen at least 3 over the years that other collectors have brought to the MFCA Annual meetings to share with other members.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
