Marlin .38 five shot revolver

Post by Jed »

Good evening gentlemen, when I was a young boy my grandfather, who had worked in the Police & Armed forces, owned a .38 five shot double action Marlin revolver. To my knowledge it was never fired & from time to time he would bring it out & let me look at it.When he died in the early 60's my parents surendered it to the authorities.I"ve had a look on the net but can"t seem to see anything that looks like it although comparing it with what I have seen would seem to indicate that it was probably manufactured in the early 1900's.I"d love to have a photo of it.If any of you guys could help in this regard I would be most grateful.Thankyou

Steve & Marlinman, Thanks very much to both of you guys! The info you have provided has given me some excellent pictures.I really like the nickel plated one in its original box-although Grandpas one had the normal gunmetal finish.Thats the right gun alright. Thanks guys, much appreciated.Have a great Christmas :D Jed
