Marlin Lever Action

Post by Hugh Moore »

I inherited a 1898 25/20 from my grandfather.

It was a octagonal barrel.

Unfortunately, it was stolen.

I am using memory on the date and model but I would like to
know if there was a Marlin model by that description?

I also would like to buy one similar to it.

It was a Texas Saddle Gun as well as I can remember.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you could direct me to a place where I might replace the rifle that would be a big help.

Thanks,

It was probably a Model 1894 or 1889. The Marlin Model 1898 is a 12 gauge shotgun. Good places to find one are http://www.gunbroker.com http://www.gunsamerica.com http://www.auctionarms.com There are a wide variety of prices and condition so shop wisely. Parley
