Marlin mr7

I was just wondering if someone can tell me why i have such a hard time finding a Marlin mr7. I have searched a tun of gun auction sites as well as stores in my state . I live in CT and i mean i live not even 15 mins from the marlin factory but i cannot seem to find one anywhere. I really want this rifle I have called the factory but they tell me i can have a custom gun made but no way can i afford that.Anyone have any ideas. I know there were 2 different grades. A basic and a premium one. I want the premium one.

Hit the forums and post the want to buy. I found one in 25-06 at a gunshow, first one I had seen in four years of looking. Bought it and really like it. Good luck.

Keep haunting the auction sites. There weren't a lot of these made - as you already know - so persistence will be needed. Good luck!!

I own a MR7 in a 30.06 I bought in '97. An excellent rifle and I've been looking for another as well.

Can anyone tell me how many of these were made?
