Reference books on knife collecting

Post by palabra »

I thought I would try my fellow Marlin collectors to see if you can offer me some advice. I am beginning to collect Marbles Stag handled fixed blade knives. I want to buy a good reference book (s) but have not been able to determine which ones to buy. I would like to get some good information on the Marbles knives and also have a good reference on the prices. Which book titles would you recommend I purchase to help me improve my collecting? Thanks in advance from TN.

A good book is "Levines Guide to Knives and Their Value"
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!

I might be shooting myself in the foot so to speak but when I learn of reference books I am interested, I go to Amazion.com and do a search. I have bought several some at really good prices. This particular book can be orderd from 44.00 to 120.00. But if you really waant it...

I've per-ordered "Marlin Firearms: A History of the Guns and the Company That Made Them" on Amazon with a good discount! Saved about $30, a bargain :) It costs about $90 in the local Borders
